What We Stand For and Believe Children Will Learn From Playing Chess:

  • Develop Friends and Socialization Skills
  • Improved Critical Thinking Skills
  • Learns To Deal with Life's Ups and Downs Because We Will Not Win Every Game
  • That Making Mistakes are OK as These Are How We Learn
  • Improved Focus and Concentration
  • Chess Teaches Us The Life Lesson of "We Receive in Rewards the Equal Ratio to What We Have Put In in Effort"
  • That With Perseverance and Correct Training, They Can Accomplish Any Dream(s) They Have
  • BONUS?? KIDS LOVE TO PLAY!
(Even those who thought they wouldn't!)
  • For the National Tournaments, I have placed these in vacation locations. When I was younger, my two most memorable tournaments were both in vacation destinations. We had the chance to have fun in the areas (especially Hawaii in the 1995 US Open where I tied for 1st in the Master section competing against the likes of Hikaru Nakamura. We were able to swim, snorkel, etc during the day and then compete in the evening rounds.) Therefore, it is my hope you and your family will be able to create your lifetime memories both competing but also vacationing.
