Under 750 USCF Rated Tournament

Perfect for:

  • The player who has played a few USCF rated tournaments and is gaining skill but parent feels child would be not be competitive yet in the main World Chess Festival Youth Champ tournament.
  • Your very first USCF rated tournament. Players often play in the Friday Non-Rated tournament and then wish to try USCF rated chess tournaments and therefore play in this tournament as their first USCF rated chess tournament.
  • Players who wish to try the main World Chess Festival Youth Champ tournament on Saturday (only have to pay 1/2 the price for the World Chess Festival Youth Champ) to gain this experience and then play this Under 750 USCF Rated tournament on Sunday.

    • Format:

  • USCF membership required
  • All USCF rules including "Touch Move, Touch Capture" rules will be followed.
  • No elimination. Awards are based on total number of wins out of the 5 games for each player.
  • Trophies: Top 6 Individual, 1st & 2nd U400 + Top Club/Team.
  • Round Times: 9:30am, 11am, 1pm, 2:30pm, 4pm
  • Time Control: G/30, inc 5.
  • Entry Fee: $40 by 3/1, $45 from March 2-May 31, $50 from June 1-30, $60 on July 1 or after.
  • Byes: 1/2 point Byes (Meaning you won't be able to play in that round due to another conflict): 1 available
  • Ratings: 7/9/25 will be official ratings used.
